Experience with Ebrahim Consultants:

A.L. Khan is presently actively involved in the preparation of project proposals and design scheme for the up-coming international competition for the Jamia Mosque project along the Kigali Street Plot. This is expected to be a landmark project within the CBD of Nairobi and is expected to be funded by the Islamic Development Bank, the Sheikh Zayed Foundation of UAE and probably a charitable trust from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A.L. Khan is acting in the capacity of consultant-in-charge to Ebrahim Consultants due to his knowledge and past experience both with the Jamia Mosque Majilis and contacts with the Sheikh Zayed Foundation of UAE.

Experience with Abdul Mullick Associates:

A.L. Khan has been involved in the preparation of feasibilty studies of community projects in Arusha of the Athna Asheri Community of Tanzania in conjunction with Abdul Mullick Associates.

However, none of the projects has yet gone beyond the feasibility level and there are consultations in progress to implement some depending on availability of finance and community priorities.

Experience with Harbans Singh Associates:

A.L. Khan has handled three high profile projects for the Consultancy firm of Harbans Singh Associates. These projects have been handled on a contract basis and include:

  1. The Safaricom Headquarters Project - this was an architectural competition in which the design prepared by A.L. Khan emerged the winner. Located along Waiyaki Way, the project has been completed, occupied and in full use.
  2. Caribon Phase 2 project - this is a high class office park complex which is expected to be constructed in early 2006.
  3. Residential Complexes - these include a number of high class Town Houses and Apartment complexes in Lavington, Parklands and Gigiri.

A.L. Khan continues to give consultancy and advisory services to Harbans Singh Associates for a number of projects on a consultancy basis.
